Days before a major Iranian dissident rally in France, the head of the host organization says the “circumstances are ripe for regime change” in Tehran, but Washington and other Western governments are standing in the way by legitimizing the regime of Supreme Leader Sayyid Ali Khamenei through the pursuit of a nuclear deal.

“Through their policy of appeasement and giving concessions to the regime, Western governments have served as an obstacle to the regime’s overthrow,” said Maryam Rajavi, the leader of the National Council of Resistance of Iran. “In the absence of Western assistance, this regime would have fallen by now.”

Mrs. Rajavi made the remarks in an exclusive interview with The Washington Times ahead of an annual gathering that the council — an umbrella organization that members say includes more than 300 Iranian opposition groups peppered across 24 nations — is holding Saturday on the outskirts of Paris.

U.S. policy on Iran is to fail to stop Tehran’s nuclear weapons program and its support for terrorism in the region. It is incredibly bad judgment to continue to extend the talks going on with Iran as they continue to do exactly the things the world would not want them to be doing.
America and the West face a grave choice.  We can continue to acquiesce and accommodate Tehran, loosening sanctions, and legitimizing its leadership with diplomatic victories. Or we can confront the reality of a hegemonic, nuclear-threshold state driven by fundamentalist zeal.
By acquiring a nuclear bomb, the Iranian regime seeks to upend the regional balance of power and exert its hegemony over the whole region. It would be a fatal mistake to believe that silence and accommodation vis-à-vis the regime's onslaught throughout the region would help advance the nuclear talks.

I, Fariborz and unidentified graves

The last time I saw him was Sept. 2003. With his calm and sincere face and lovely smile and with his tall stature he embarrassed and kissed me. At that time I could never imagine that I would never see him again…. Many years ago when I was a school teacher, despite our difference or age, my cousin Fariborz who was then a 13-14 years old student was one of my closest friends. I am one Iranian that left my country. I never forgot my people and my dear country. Every day I am thinking about them specially the street children.
 I don’t know, do you hear about this? Their story is so sadly and awful when any one sees them even their picture, he will be crying for them.
A day I went to do my job ,in my way I saw 15 street children ,some of them were girl , they were so beautiful , I could not believe , I was seeing them , I needed to bring them to my house and upkeep them and Kiss them but they were many and I hadn’t enough  money  for this subject and this was annoyed me so much .

Deception on nuclear negotiations

The nuclear issue and of course, July 20th was a deadline for the nuclear agreement. By the facts could Tehran can be trusted?
The mullahs are masters of deception, duplicity and charlatanism. For this reason they can in no way be trusted. Now everyone knows full well that Rouhani, himself, acknowledged during the election campaign that he had deceived the West in order to continue the nuclear activities inside Iran while the West being misled that thee regime has engaged in negotiations in order to halt their nuclear program. Therefore, they cannot be trusted. Moreover, it is common knowledge that nuclear [nuclear weapons] are the guarantee for the survival of the regime. For this reason, even if they come to negotiate it has been due to international pressure and especially the chaotic situation inside the country, as it relates to the explosive state of society, or to the dire economic conditions.
